Barrie Price - Proprietor and Monumental Mason

Barrie has been working as a Monumental Mason, creating bespoke memorials and headstones in Derbyshire, for the past 25 years.  Barrie is a member of the BRAMM scheme (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons).  Barrie is experienced in all aspects of memorial work and is happy to meet clients at his Belper premises, in their homes, or out at the churchyard or cemetery.  He takes pride in offering a quality, competitive, reliable and sympathetic service.

Ermano Zaffardi - Sculptor

Ermano has worked in the UK since 1967.  He trained in Carara, Italy, and is highly skilled in carving granite and marble.  He is very artistic, creative, and enjoys undertaking bespoke commissions to your own personal design.

Ermano's work is of the highest quality and we would urge prospective clients to come and view some examples of his beautiful work in our showroom.

David Goodacre - Artist / Mason

David works on a freelance basis.  He has over 20 years' experience, and his work varies from the simplest to most intricate hand etched designs.  David can also provide a hand cut lettering service, including lead lettering, if this is preferred to the more modern sand-blasting technique.  David works on a variety of materials including Welsh Slate, Hopton Wood limestone, granite and marble.

Martin Yates - Monumental Mason

Martin is a traditional Monumental Mason with over 25 years' experience and has worked solely with James Beresford & Sons.  Martin is also on the British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons.  Martin was responsible for the renovation on the late Sir Nigel Gresley's kerb graves.  Martin is experienced at renovation work, removing and fixing memorials and fitting ground anchor systems.  We can occasionally persuade Martin to do some leaded lettering but this is least favourite job - even though he's excellent at it!!

Eileen Hardy - Office Manager

Eileen has been the backbone of the James Beresford & Sons' administration for many years.  Eileen has extensive knowledge of the local churchyard and cemetery rules and regulations and can help clients ensure that their chosen memorial complies with the regulations.
